Frank Vogel opened up about his decision to use Marc Gasol in the fourth quarter of the loss to the New York Knicks (96-111).

Vogel, the head coach of the Lakers, said he was ‘looking for a spark’ and that’s why he turned to Gasol.

“Frank Vogel says he turned to Marc Gasol in the fourth quarter because he was looking for a spark,” Jovan Buha of The Athletic reports.

Gasol played just five minutes in the game and had three points. The Spanish center and coach Vogel will attempt to bounce back on Tuesday in the road game against the Charlotte Hornets.
