Philadelphia 76ers stayed afloat during the last three weeks playing without Joel Embiid. However, the Sixers’ fans will see the superstar big back on the floor soon.
According to Shams Charania, Embiid is expected to be available for the Sixers vs. the Minnesota Timberwolves on Saturday. The MVP candidate has been sidelined with a bone bruise missing 16 games so far this season.
Embiid’s absence did not change the Sixers’ mentality staying afloat due to their defense (1st in defensive rating) through those 16 games.
Philadelphia has managed to maintain its position atop the Eastern Conference standings. They are now 6-3 since Embiid got hurt.
