Aaron Gordon made his debut with the Denver Nuggets after getting traded from the Orlando Magic. The 25-year-old forward had 13 points in 21 minutes as his new team defeated the Atlanta Hawks 126-102.
After the game, the Nuggets’ star Nikola Jokic was asked about his new teammate. “The main thing and the best thing he did is accept the role,” Joker said. “He knows why he came here, he knows what he can do. He knows how he can help and he’s doing that. So defense/offense it doesn’t matter.
“He accepted and he is embracing it He’s gonna try to be the best he can be. I think he kind of saw how we played and he didn’t even try to do too much. He saw that if he’s open, ball is gonna find him. So I think it was a really good debut for him.”
