University of Memphis took home the NIT championship on Sunday, defeating Mississippi State 77-64. Boogie Ellis led the way with 23 points, as tournament MVP Landers Nolley put up 10 points & 4 rebounds. Tigers coach Penny Hardaway is now 63-32 in three seasons with his alma mater after finishing this year with a 20-8 record.
