In breaking Lakers news, former Cavaliers center Andre Drummond will sign with the Los Angeles Lakers after clearing waivers on Sunday, per Marc Stein. Drummond was bought out by the Cleveland Cleveland after they failed to trade the high-priced big man.

The Lakers have struggled with LeBron James and Anthony Davis out with injuries (1-4 since LeBron was sidelined), and Drummond comes in nice-and-fresh. He hasn’t played since mid-February as Cleveland searched for a trade partner, but a trade never materialized.

The 27-year-old averaged 17.5 points, 13.5 rebounds, 2.6 assists, 1.2 blocks and 1.6 steals through 25 games for the Cleveland Cleveland this season.
