The Los Angeles Lakers won their third straight game after the All-Star break by defeating the Minnesota Timberwolves (137-121). LeBron James and Montrezl Harrell were the top scorers for the winners with 25 apiece. A large part of those points came from pick and rolls that the two played.

After the game, Frank Vogel, the head coach of the Lakers, shared his thoughts on James running pick and rolls with Harrell. “He’s [LeBron] obviously the best reader of pick and roll action in the game,” he said.

“Trezz is a dynamic roller. We tweaked the spacing, gave a little bit of a different look tonight with that action that we were running. Minnesota had a hard time figuring it out.

“So we have a mindset with our system that if we run a play it works, we keep running it. Bron has just put on a masterpiece finding three or four or maybe even five different options out of that action.”

LeBron finished the game with his 99th career triple double as he ad 25 points, 12 rebounds and 12 assists in 31 minutes of play. Harrell, on the other hand, had 4 rebounds and 6 assists in addition to his 25 points in 29 minutes on the court.
