Denver Nuggets forward Spencer Jones is expected to make his season debut on Saturday against the Indiana Pacers in the NBA’s Mexico City Game after recovering from a hamstring injury.
Jones has been sidelined since the preseason but is now preparing to return to Denver’s lineup.
The 6-foot-7 forward became an important part of the Nuggets’ rotation last season, contributing on both ends of the court.
He averaged 5.5 points per game while shooting 50.4% from the field and 39.6% from three-point range.
Jones also provided defensive versatility, giving Denver an option at both forward positions.
His return comes as the Nuggets look to improve their bench production following a difficult start to the season for their reserves.
Jones is expected to immediately rejoin the rotation, providing additional depth and giving the coaching staff another option in the frontcourt.
Denver will face Indiana on Saturday, with Jones set to play his first regular-season game of the campaign.
