Kyle Kuzma was included in the list of 57 players that were added to the pool for Team USA. The Los Angeles Lakers forward says he would relish the opportunity to represent his country at Tokyo Olympics. However, if the Lakers go all the way to the NBA Finals, he could be ineligible due to the playoffs schedule extending into the Olympics.

“That’s a blessing. It’s an extreme honor,” he said. “Hopefully, I get to play. Last year I played a few games for Team USA and was cut short for my injury. Hopefully I have the opportunity to play in the Olympics and kind of not redeem myself but have that full moment with Team USA.”

The 25-year-old forward was a part of the national team that was a member of Team USA squad for the 2019 FIBA World Cup, but was cut shortly before the tournament due to an injury. The Americans finished 7th in what was a disappointing tournament for them.

When it comes to Olympics, it is a different story. After finishing third in 2004, Team USA won gold in all three Olympics since.
