After failing to meet the expectations last year, the Los Angeles Clippers are prepared to go further than the Lakers this season, says sports analyst Skip Bayless. He expressed an opinion that the reigning NBA champions will not progress to the NBA Finals.

“The Clippers are even better than they were a year ago,” Bayless said on UNDISPUTED. “I’m holding back. I’m trying to lessen the pressure on them. Because they are poised to get even with the Lakers. The Lakers won’t get out of the West.”

Last year, both Los Angeles sides were expected to meet in the Western Conference Finals even before the season began. However, the Clippers’ playoff journey ended in the second round against the Nuggets.
