The Los Angeles Lakers will be without Anthony Davis at least until the All-Star break. His absence will mean increased playing minutes and responsibility for other bigs on the team.

Montrezl Harrell is one of them. Following the Lakers’ win over the Timberwolves, the 27-year-old forward talked about dealing with not having AD on the floor.

“Guys are just ready to go. We’re a really deep team,” Harrell said. “I think everybody took the news and we kind of just looked at it as we’re gonna have to do things to extremely harder level on both offense ad defense on the floor.

“Anthony Davis does a great deal of things for us both offense and defense and we’re not going to be able to just replace the thing that he does. But we’re going to have to be able to step up and just fill that void while he’s gone.”

This season, Harrell is averaging 13.3 points, 6.3 rebounds and 1.1 assists in 24.6 minutes per game for the defending NBA champions.
