With the arrival of Anthony Davis to the Los Angeles Lakers, forward Kyle Kuzma had to settle for a lesser role on the team. It took him a while to find ways to be effective, but he is getting there, according to head coach Frank Vogel.

Even with AD back in action against the Grizzlies, Kuzma was able to score 20 points and grab 10 rebounds helping his team take the win.

“When AD came here, Kuz’s role changed. It’s gonna be a team built around AD and Bron, they’re gonna be the primary options offensively,” Vogel said. “He’s gonna be more a second-size scorer and find ways to impact the game type of role. He’s really taken that and run with it.

“There’s a lot of different ways that you can impact the game. He’s grown his offensive rebounding and gotten comfortable with that aspect of his game and he’s given us a huge lift just creating a lot of extra positions and helping us win games.”
