Wesley Matthews shared his thoughts on returning to the Lakers’ lineup against the Oklahoma City Thunder.
Matthews didn’t have much playing time lately, while he didn’t play at all in the last two games of the Lakers.
The veteran guard said he had multiple conversations with head coach Frank Vogel, which helped him understand his role.
“I didn’t love anything he had to say, but your job is to be a professional. Those conversations need to be had,” Matthews told reporters, via Kyle Goon of Southern California News Group.
Matthews had 16 points (5/7 shooting, 4/5 from beyond the arc) in 26 minutes of action, as the Lakers defeated the Thunder in overtime (112-119).
