Easy weekend for both Greek rivals who dominated at home the same time that AEK gets a big win on the road and Panionios gets his first victory. Read full review below:

A.E.N.Kifissias- A.E.K. 75-80

Second win in a row for Dragan Sakota’s AEK, this time against AENK that had an impressive start at the season. The two teams had a great fight from start to finish but the passion AEK players showed in the closing quarter, gave them the win. English had 22 for the winners while on the other side, Mavroeidis did his best (29 p.) but that was not enough.

Panionios- Koroivos Amaliadas 74-69

First win of the season and signs of rebirth for the “Red and Blue” after 6 straight defeats. Coach Alexandris’ team was in control of the match, was patient during the last minutes where Koroivos tried to catch up, and walked away with a precious win in front of their home fans. Korolev had another great game, scored 23 and shared 4 assists.

Apollon Patras- A.O.Trikala 83-70

There is no place like home and Apollon proves it this season since they achieved their 3rd win, all of them at home, this time against Trikala. The visitors failed to follow Apollon who got in front early on 14-4 and from that point on they were in full control, with Penn standing out (26p.)

Panelefsiniakos- A.G.O.Rethimno 70-80

Rethimno escaped Elefsina with the two points and after a very strong beginning that put them in front and gave them total control. The home side was close throughout but they did not manage to threat their opponents. MVP of the game was Council with 22 points.

Aris- Kolossos Rhodes 65-77

Aris fell short to the Rhodians in the empty due to punishment Nick Gallis Hall. The visitors had an extraordinary start, getting in front 9-25 after 10 minutes, opening the way for the win. Aris tried to reduce the gap but Kolossos had a relatively easy evening exposing Aris’ poor offense. Top scorer was Mike James with 28 points.

Olympiacos- P.A.O.K. 80-55

Big anticipation for this matchup that was the most important of the weekend but the game did not catch up to the expectations, since PAOK was clearly tired and not in good shape, giving Olympiacos the lead early on and after a struggle until the half time, they collapsed during the 3rd. Olympiacos shared the rock offensively with Spanoulis standing out (15p.) PAOK denied to keep a minute of silence in memory of the Red Star fan who was killed in Turkey. Strong start in both halves, gave Panathinaikos an easy home win against KAOD who provided minimum resistance. Atkins scored 18 for the visitors and was the only player for them who scored double digits. On the other side Slaughter scored 28 and led Panathinaikos offensively.
