Frank Vogel opened up about the condition of LeBron James, who is dealing with a left ankle sprain since the season opener vs the Clippers.

Vogel explained how the Lakers monitor James’ minutes in order to avoid any aggravation to his injury. James has played in all 20 games of the Lakers this season, averaging 25.5 points, 7.8 rebounds and 7.5 assists.

“We trust him to manage his body with communication with the medical team. A little bump and bruise, like the ankle that can be sore from time to time, and we just make these decisions on a game-by-game basis. But plan A is for him to play,” Vogel told reporters, via Lakers Nation.

Vogel, the head coach of the Lakers, noted James ‘didn’t need any rest’, but he will sit out one or more games if he needs to.
