LeBron James did not overreact in the Los Angeles Lakers’ second loss in a row to the Detroit Pistons, who had the worst record in the NBA until Thursday.

James pointed out that the Lakers did not play well and spoke about injuries in key members of the squad like Anthony Davis, who sat out Thursday’s matchup.

“We are definitely all adjusting to playing minutes with different lineups… I think we’re all learning on the fly with the lack of practice time… A lot of our games are like practices for us too,” James explained to reporters.

LeBron James had 22 points, 10 assists and seven rebounds, but the Lakers shot 40% from the field with James combining for 8-out-of-19 shooting.

The Lakers scored just 34 points in the second half, while the Pistons combined for 51 in 24 minutes of play. Prior to Thursday’s loss, Frank Vogel’s team came off a close-fought defeat against Philadelphia Wednesday.
