Kyrie Irving paid tribute to Kobe Bryant before the game between the Brooklyn Nets and the Miami Heat. Irving was among the NBA players close to Bryant.

When he arrived for Monday’s game against the Heat, Irving wore an early Bryant throwback jersey. The one-year anniversary from Kobe Bryant passing is approaching and Irving did not hesitate to show his respect to his idol.

Bryant, his daughter Gianna and seven other died in a helicopter crash the past January. Several NBA players are expected to pay tribute to the Lakers’ legend this day as the one-year anniversary of the tragic event is fast approaching.

The Nets are facing Miami on Monday night in hope of extending their winning streak to three games. Irving may have a special performance in store to represent Bryant’s legacy in the best way possible.
