Lakers players will wear pairs of Kobe Bryant’s signature sneakers on their feet in the game against the Cleveland Cavaliers on Monday.

That way, the players of the Lakers will honor the late NBA legend, who died in a helicopter crash on January 26, 2020. LeBron James will also have a No. 24 finger sleeve.

Aside from that, the Lakers have no other plans to honor their legend, because they don’t want to draw more attention to the anniversary, per Dave McMenamin of ESPN.

Therefore, there will be no formal tribute, while the Lakers will not wear the Black Mamba jerseys against the Cavaliers on Monday or the Philadelphia 76ers on Wednesday.
