The Los Angeles Lakers are about to face the Milwaukee Bucks on Thursday’s NBA primetime with some considering both teams favorites to compete for the NBA title at the end of the season.

Wesley Matthews, who joined the Lakers after spending last season with the Bucks, talked about the possibility of the two teams being this season’s NBA finalists.

“Every day, every game, we attack with the same mindset,” Matthews explained. “We know what the endgame is, we know where we want to get to and that we’ve got a ways to go. Is this a preview? I don’t know. Who knows? We haven’t even discussed that.”

The Lakers started the season strong by being the leading team in the Western Conference, after becoming the 2020 NBA Champions in Orlando the past summer.

On the other hand, the Bucks could not get back to form in the season restart and did not get past the second round of the 2020 NBA playoffs losing to the Miami Heat.
