The Boston Celtics have announced having cleared point guard Kemba Walker for practice as they look to return him to the lineup on the back of a left knee problem.

Walker hasn’t played since the Celtics were eliminated by the Heat from last year’s playoffs. The former Charlotte Hornets star met with specialists after his team’s exit and opted to get a stem cell injection in the knee and undergo a 12-week strengthening program.

Per Adam Himmelsbach of the Boston Globe, the Celtics are looking at next Friday’s game against the Orlando Magic to have him return, though no decision has been made.
