Kendrick Perkins was impressed by the performance of James Harden in his season debut with the Houston Rockets.

Harden had 44 points and 17 assists in 43 minutes of action, as the Rockets lost to the Blazers in overtime (126-128).

Perkins took to Twitter and said the Rockets should trade Harden only for an ‘MVP type of player’.

“James Harden went 44 points and 17 assists…the Rockets would be some damn fools to trade him for anything less than MVP type player!!!” Perkins tweeted.

Harden has requested a trade from Houston, yet the Rockets will trade him only for a massive package.
