Kyrie Irving has decided to boycott media this season choosing to address them via statements in the social media. Steve Nash was asked about the situation around Irving’s decision to avoid press conferences in his latest media sessions.

Nash replied that he had not time for that matter, as he delves into his new role as a head coach. The Nets are preparing to face the Wizards on Sunday for their first preseason game.

“I haven’t addressed it with him,” Nash said … “He’s been unbelievable in camp. He’s been playing at an extremely high level. He’s been a leader.

While he may not be in your guy’s good books, he’s in my good books so I am enjoying coaching him. He’s been unbelievable but if he sees my thoughts or wants to discuss it, I am more than happy to discuss it with him. I have not had that conversation with him.”

Irving and the Nets received a $25,000 fine for the 2016 NBA champion’s decision to not attend any media presser last week.
