Dwight Howard had high praise for the Philadelphia 76ers’ superstar Ben Simmons comparing him to a young LeBron James.
“Simmons is a young LeBron…he has the opportunity to become one of the greatest to ever play the game,” the veteran center said.
Howard, an NBA champion last season, joined the Sixers on a one-year deal this offseason. He had a serious impact in the Lakers’ title run during the postseason.
Now, he will try to help Philly win its first championship since 1984. The Sixers went on a full retool with their front office and the coaching staff, after a disappointing end to their 2019/20 campaign.
Philadelphia hired Doc Rivers in the head coaching position and Daryl Morey as the president of basketball operations to lead the team in the next few years.
