Former Los Angeles Clippers forward Montrezl Harrell switched teams this offseason and joined the Lakers. A move between two LA teams caused some controversy, but it seems the defending NBA champions really wanted Harrell.

The reigning NBA Sixth Man of the Year is happy to be with the Purple & Gold. “This is a team that wanted me and was highly on me. I’m honored and thankful for that. Blessed to be here,” Harrell said during a video call.

Harrell averaged 18.6 points, 7.1 rebounds and 1.7 assists per game coming off the bench for the Clippers last season.
