Nicolas Batum is expected to draw interest from several NBA teams, after the Charlotte Hornets waived and stretched his remaining $27.1M in his contract.

The forward from France is drawing a great deal of interest as a free agent, especially from teams that they are expected to contend for the title this season.

In particular, as reported by BasketSession, and transcribed by Brian Lewis of NY Post, the Nets, Bucks, Clippers, Jazz, Raptors and Warriors ‘are in the mix’ for signing the veteran forward.

Last season was the worst season of Batum’s career, as he dropped to an average of 3.6 points per game from 11.6 points in 2017/18 season.

Batum will offer experience and defensive versatility in his potential suitors with several teams in the process of completing their roster for the 2020/21 campaign.
