James Harden still wants to leave the Houston Rockets and join the Brooklyn Nets, according to Farbod Esnaashari of Sports Illustrated.

Per the NBA insider, the Rockets prefer to take their time and consider things, as they feel they have the leverage in the situation.

“Sources indicate to me that the Rockets weren’t pleased with the Harden’s trade request getting leaked so early. He’s been as vocal as possible about being traded to the Nets, but Houston believes they have the leverage in this situation. Harden’s goal remains the same,” Esnaashari reports.

Harden has three years and $133M left on his current contract with Houston.
