The Toronto Raptors have come to an agreement with Aron Baynes following Marc Gasol’s move to the Los Angeles Lakers.

Gasol was said to have narrowed his focus to just Toronto and L.A and it’s since been announced that he will be signing a deal with the reigning NBA Champions.

According to Shams Charania, Baynes has agreed to a two-year, $14.3M deal with the Raptors, with the second season a team option.

Charania also tweeted:

“Toronto picks up one of the top big men on the market in Aron Baynes. Second season is a team option, sources said. Marc Gasol heads to Los Angeles on an agreement with the Lakers, where his preference has been and where his brother Pau is an icon.”

Baynes spent last season with the Phoenix Suns following a two-year stint with the Boston Celtics. He averaged 11.5 points and 5.6 rebounds playing just over 22 minutes a night for the Suns.
