Free agent center Tristan Thompson has reached an agreement with the Boston Celtics, according to Chris Haynes of Yahoo Sports.

Thompson is going to the Celtics on a two-year, $19 million deal, according to Joe Vardon of The Athletic.

The Celtics will only be the second team Thompson has played for, as he has spent his entire NBA career with the Cleveland Cavaliers.

The 29-year-old averaged 12.0 points, 10.1 rebounds and 2.1 assists per game in 57 games last season.

The Los Angeles Lakers and Toronto Raptors were also reportedly expected to pursue Thompson in free agency.
