Anthony Davis declined his player option with the Los Angeles Lakers to become a free agent. The 2020 NBA champion is expected to sign a new contract with the Lakers.

According to ESPN’s Dave McMenamin, the contract situation of LeBron James will factor in AD’s contract talks. James is under contract with the Lakers for the 2020-2021 season. In 2021-2022, he has a player option.
