ESPN’s highest-paid sportscaster with an annual salary of nearly $8 million, Stephen A. Smith, believes the Los Angeles Clippers are a more likely destination for the Oklahoma City Thunder star guard Chris Paul, who still has two seasons left on the four-year, $160MM contract the Houston Rockets gave him in the summer of 2018, than the Los Angeles Lakers:

“I think it would elevate the Clippers in a fashion that would make them the [toughest challenge] to the Los Angeles Lakers in the Western Conference, if not the entire NBA.”
