The Los Angeles Lakers superstar Anthony Davis echoed LeBron James by saying Kobe Bryant – Shaquille O’Neal duo was the best we have ever seen. The 27-year-old forward also found similarities between the two Lakers legends and him and LeBron.

He talked about the two Lakers legends after Davis and James became the first pair of LA teammates with 30+ points in a Finals game since Kobe and Shaq in 2002.

AD had 32 points and 14 rebounds while LeBron had 33 points, nine rebounds and nine assists as the Lakers defeated the Heat in Game 2 of the Finals.

“Those two guys are obviously special,” Davis said. “The best duo we’ve seen. Multiple championships. But they both were so dominant. I know they had a little sit down they were talking about their argument because they wanted to be so dominant. They both wanted to be great. They both wanted to win.

“That’s why they kinda gelled together outside of everything else you might have heard of they were going through. Those two guys were selfless. They both had a competitive spirit within themselves to will their teams to win.

“And I think me and LeBron is the same way. We’re two guys who want to win no matter the circumstance. We both want to make sure that we do whatever it takes to help our team win. We got two guys that are selfless. It’s not gonna always be pretty. Sometimes we’re gonna argue. Sometimes we’re gonna have disagreements. But we know it’s coming from the right place.”
