Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN is reporting the Philadelphia 76ers have hired Doc Rivers as their new head coach.
Rivers was fired by the Los Angeles Clippers earlier this week but, per Woj, quick negotiations have seen the veteran coach reach a deal with Philly.
The Athletic’s Shams Charania also reports Rivers’ deal is for five years, while various sources claim his duties will be restricted to the court.
