Former Los Angeles Clippers head coach Doc Rivers will meet with the Philadelphia 76ers in the Philadelphia area, according to Shams Charania.

The 76ers were one of two teams along with the New Orleans Pelicans that reached out to Rivers after the Clippers parted ways with him on Sept. 28.

Tyronn Lue interviewed with the 76ers on Sept. 29 and toured the team’s facility, but he is also considered a possible candidate for the Clippers’ job.

Mike D’Antoni had previously been considered the favorite for the 76ers’ job, but that was before Rivers became available.
