Tom Thibodeau shared his thoughts on the Los Angeles Clippers parting ways with head coach Doc Rivers.

The head coach of the New York Knicks stood up for his good friend and mentor on the Boston Celtics, who was fired by the Clippers after failing to get them past the second round of the playoffs.

Thibodeau said Rivers is a ‘gret coach and person’, a ‘terrific leader’ and the team that will hire him will be very ‘fortunate’.

Rivers has the most wins as a coach in Clippers franchise history.

Rivers has already been linked to the Houston Rockets, New Orleans Pelicans and Philadelphia 76ers.
