The Los Angeles Lakers superstar LeBron James spoke highly of the Miami Heat head coach Erik Spoelstra ahead of the NBA Finals.

LeBron praised his former coach, saying he does not get the respect he deserves and that it is not right to say Spoelstra won titles with Miami just because he had Dwyane Wade, LeBron James and Chris Bosh.

“It’s been you guys who have never given Spo his respect because he had D-Wade or he had myself, he had Bosh. But a lot of coaches have talent. A lot of coaches have had talent over the course of this league. Has not won,” James said.

“It’s unfortunate that he hasn’t gotten his respect… I’m not gonna sit up here and act like I don’t know what Spo is all about. Cause he’s damn good if not great. Probably is great.”

LeBron won two NBA titles while being coached by Spoelstra in Miami. This year will be the first time for James to play in the Finals against Spoelstra.
