Michael Malone is still confident the Denver Nuggets can turn things around, even though they are down 3-1 to the Los Angeles Lakers.

The head coach of Denver is confident his team can lead the Western Conference Finals series to Game 7.

“No, not at all. We’ve been here twice, and we’ve answered the call. To be honest, in the second round against the Clippers, they were the odds-on favorite to win the whole thing ahead of the Lakers.

I think people out there probably think this is exactly where we want them. It’s not,” said Malone according to The Denver Post’s Mike Singer.

Denver eliminated both the Utah Jazz and the Los Angeles Clippers in the playoffs, despite being down 3-1 in both series.

Game 5 between the Nuggets and the Lakers is on Saturday.
