The Boston Celtics bounced back with a win in Game 3 against the Miami Heat in the Eastern Conference Finals, after losing the first two games of the series.

Marcus Smart was heard yelling in the locker room, after the Celtics’ Game 2 loss to the Miami Heat. Boston lost despite having a 17-point lead in the second half.

In Game 3 of the Miami-Boston series, the Celtics nailed their third wire-to-wire win through the 2019-2020 postseason and, according to rookie Grant Williams, Marcus Smart played a big role in the team’s mentality in this game.

“He’s our heart and soul. He is the guy that keeps us going, keeps us inspired and keeps up competitive,” Williams said Monday. “He’s our dog. We just have to follow his lead and trust that we have a lot of guys on this team that can do a lot of great things. He is going to just compete his butt off and if we follow that standard, follow that lead and I think we’ll be well set off.”

Brad Stevens trusted Williams in the playoffs with the rookie taking advantage of his defensive versatility and great basketball IQ to cope with the postseason’s pressure.

Game 4 between the Boston Celtics and the Miami Heat is set to tip-off Wednesday.
