The Los Angeles Lakers took another step close to reaching the NBA Finals by taking down the Denver Nuggets in Game 2 of the Western Conference semifinals.

Anthony Davis hit a buzzer-beating three-pointer to give the Lakers a narrow win 105-103. The 27-year-old forward yelled “Kobe” after he nailed the shot.

The Lakers also wore the ‘Black Mamba’ jerseys, designed by the late Kobe Bryant, during the game. Davis was asked if there is any difference playing those jerseys.

“We just feel like we play a little different. Our swag a little different. Every time we put on those jerseys, we’re representing him. Especially in those jerseys. Every time we put them on we feel like we want to win,” he said.

“Coach made sure that we knew that in a huddle. He said ‘look at the jerseys you have on, he would make big-time plays, it is time for us to make big-time plays’ I think with 6 minutes left in the game. Guys were able to do that. Just looking down at the jersey and coach telling us it’s just a constant reminder that Kobe’s with us. We kind of his spirit in those jerseys.”
