As decided on Friday, the Basketball Champions League Final 8 will take place in Athens despite the recent uncertainty due to the latest COVID-19 restrictions that the Greek Government had announced. The eight teams competing will fight for the trophy behind closed doors since BCL has decided that no fans will be allowed.

BCL got in touch with AEK, the club hosting this final phase, asking for guarantees about the tournament’s initial agreements. Despite everyone’s hopes to see fans in this Final 8 tournament, COVID-19 forced BCL and the responsible authorities to play those games behind closed doors.
