Steve Nash is the new head coach of the Brooklyn Nets, the team announced on Thursday.
The NBA Hall of Famer signed a four-year contract with the team, with former coach Jacque Vaughn remaining as lead assistant coach.
“In Steve we see a leader, communicator and mentor who will garner the respect of our players…One of the great on-court leaders in our game, I have witnessed firsthand his basketball acumen and selfless approach to prioritize team success,” the GM of the Nets, Sean Marks, said.
