Many of so-called NBA analysts were dismissing Luka Doncic as a special player before the 2018 NBA Draft. After Doncic hit a buzzer-beater to give the Dallas Mavericks the win against the Los Angeles Clippers, a video was posted featuring clips from various analysts, such as Chris Broussard, Shannon Sharpe and Skip Bayless, who did not consider Luka a talented player.
The tweet with the said video was noticed by Damian Lillard of the Portland Trail Blazers. Lillard was short with his reaction, laughing at the analysts for their take on Doncic back in 2018. “Lol,” he tweeted.
