According to Luke Kennard of the Detroit Pistons, it’s Pistons or bust. The wing player decided to take to Twitter to show his love for his team no matter what. With the NBA Draft Lottery being aired last night, it is clear to see where the cryptic message came from.

The Detroit Pistons were able to obtain the seventh overall pick in the 2020 NBA Draft. The team gets to add top ten talent to pair along with Blake Griffin. Andre Drummond was traded to the Cleveland Cavaliers earlier in the season. When you look at the roster, it is unclear where the Pistons will go in the future. The first-round pick will be a great start in building for the future.

Here’s what Luke Kennard said about his loyalty to the Pistons:

“I’m not complaining, but… You’re either with us or against us. No excuses. Not letting any negativity fill my mind. Don’t bring it anywhere near me! We know what it takes! #DETROITBASKETBALL

While losing the chance to get the number one pick always is a blow the Pistons still have to be able to find talent in this draft. Either a wing with star potential or a franchise point guard will help this team get back on track.

Griffin will not be around for long. Finding a building piece in the draft is crucial.
