The Dallas Mavericks’ victory over the Los Angeles Clippers was the first career NBA playoff win for Kristaps Porzingis. The Latvian forward, who had 23 points and 7 rebounds against the Clippers, shared his thoughts on what the victory means for him.

“I try to hype myself that I’m already a champ. I’m supposed to be there. I’m supposed to win. To win it all, you have to believe you deserve to be there to win it all,” Porzingis said, per Ben Golliver of Washington Post.

Dallas, the seventh seed in the Western Conference, tied the series against one of the favorites to win a championship to 1-1.
