Kawhi Leonard had a game-high 35 points but it wasn’t enough for the Los Angeles Clippers to take down the Dallas Mavericks. The Clippers lost Game 2 of the first round series 114-127.

After the game, Leonard shared his thoughts on the defeat and on what the Clippers need to do to stop Luka Doncic.

“Just giving Dallas credit. They played hard tonight. They’re the reason why we didn’t come back. They knocked down big shots. At the right time we had our runs. We got to the free-throw line. That’s what it was. They’ve been playing good defense as well,” Kawhi said.

“Just gotta stay focused, stay locked in other matchups that they’re going at just lay good team defense on him. That’s all you can do. He’s a great player. All you can do is just try to contest his shot. Don’t get him easy looks,” Leonard said when asked if there is an answer to Doncic’s play.
