The Los Angeles Lakers, or the ‘reality show in sneakers’ as sports analyst Colin Cowherd calls them, started the playoffs with a loss to the Portland Trail Blazers.

According to Cowherd, the Lakers have three problems, two of which should not prevent them from winning the series against the Blazers.

“There are three problems with the Lakers I saw last night. Two of them will not get in the way of the Lakers potentially winning this series. One will,” Cowherd said. “So let’s talk about the first thing I saw. Once again Anthony Davis disappears in the fourth. This is who he is.”

The second problem, according to Cowherd, is the Lakers having no reliable third scorer. “The second problem. Lakers do not have a trustable and dependable third scorer. Again, they ended up number one in the West not having one,” he said.

The third problem is LeBron James overpassing. “LeBron began overpassing last night… This team does not have a dependable third scorer. LeBron needs to drop 34. Not end up with 15 assists. Why is he overpassing? Because of Hassan Whiteside.”
