Damian Lillard led the Portland Trail Blazers to a 100-93 victory in Game 1 against the Los Angeles Lakers.

Lillard hit six 3-pointers (6-13) while the Lakers as a team finished with five (5-32.) Lillard had 34 points, including clutch shots late in the fourth quarter.

Carmelo Anthony finished with 11 points and 10 rebounds including a clutch 3-pointer to help Portland hold off Los Angeles. Jusuf Nurkic finished with 16 points and 15 rebounds. He also played excellent defense against Anthony Davis.

Davis had a horrible shooting night, finishing 8-24 on field goal attempts and 0-5 on 3-pointers. He still finished with 28 points and 11 rebounds, going 12-17 on free throw attempts.

LeBron James had a triple double, finishing with 23 points, 17 rebounds and 16 assists but he didn’t get much help from the Lakers’ role players in the game.

Game 2 will be Thursday at 9:00 p.m. (Eastern time.)
