Chris Paul opened up about the relationship with James Harden, ahead of Game 1 between the Houston Rockets and the Oklahoma City Thunder.
The star of the Thunder reportedly had a beef with Harden last season. The beef ended with Paul requesting a trade after the elimination from the Golden State Warriors in the Western Conference semifinals.
Eventually, Paul was traded to the Thunder and Russell Westbrook joined the Rockets.
“We don’t talk or communicate but it’s all good & well. I wish him the best. Sometimes you have teammates for a period of time & that’s ok.
We wish each other well going forward, it doesn’t mean you have to be kumbayah and it doesn’t mean you have to be enemies,” Paul told reporters, via Anthony Duckett of Space City Scoop.
Houston and Oklahoma City finished the regular season with identical records (44-28). Game 1 will take place on Tuesday.
