Gordon Hayward will be sidelined for a month due to an ankle injury, the Boston Celtics announced on Tuesday.

The forward of the Celtics had an MRI that showed he suffered a Grade III sprain of his right ankle and will remain out of action for the next four weeks.

Hayward got injured in the fourth quarter of Game 1 against the Philadelphia 76ers on Monday.

Hayward could also miss the second round of the playoffs, if Boston wins the series vs the Sixers.

Game 2 between the Celtics and the Sixers will take place on Wednesday.
