Damian Lillard had nothing but good words to say about Ja Morant and his performance in the Orlando “bubble”.
Morant did his best to defeat Lillard and the Portland Trail Blazers and force a second game in the play-in tournament, but came up short.
“He’s a star already as a rookie,” Lillard told about Morant, who finished with a game-high 35 points, along with eighth assists.
Lillard led Portland to the 126-122 victory over the Grizzlies, clinching the final spot in the playoffs.
The Blazers will now face the Los Angeles Lakers in the first round of the playoffs.
