The NBA Western Conference playoff push for the eight and nine seed has gotten even closer, as four teams are within one game of each other.

The Memphis Grizzlies remain the eight seed and the Portland Trail Blazers are the nine seed, but the Phoenix Suns and San Antonio Spurs are making a push with only a couple games left.

There are several elimination or spot-clinching scenarios for these four teams.

Here are those scenarios for the Aug. 11 games:

  • Grizzlies clinch a play-in game with a win OR with losses by the Suns and Spurs
  • Trail Blazers clinch a play-in game with a win AND with losses by the Suns and Spurs
  • Suns are eliminated with a loss AND a Trail Blazers win
  • Spurs are eliminated with a loss AND a win by EITHER the Trail Blazers or Suns

The Spurs face the Houston Rockets who will be without James Harden, while the Suns face the Philadelphia 76ers who will be without Ben Simmons, Joel Embiid, Josh Richardson and possibly Tobias Harris and Al Horford.

The Grizzlies take on the Boston Celtics, while the Trail Blazers take on the Dallas Mavericks, who will get Luka Doncic and Kristaps Porzingis back after they missed the team’s last game.

Get your popcorn ready.
