Denver Nuggets head coach Michael Malone explained why Nikola Jokic did not play in the final minutes of the loss to the Portland Trail Blazers.
Malone told reporters that Jokic ‘is too important’ to the team and he did not want to play the Serbian center at all against the Blazers.
Denver lost 125-115 to Portland, in what was the third game in four days for the team.
